Marisol Tang Rasmussen PA ’26

Both studio art and dance have filled my entire life. My maternal grandfather was a famous Pueblo Modernist Artist from Jemez Pueblo, and my maternal grandmother was a traditional potter. Their works filled my home, and I started drawing and painting as soon as I could hold a pencil or brush. Awards for my art mostly come from my 4-H project entries into the New Mexico State Fair. Pottery and ceramics are my most recent studio art mediums, and I took to them immediately.
As for dance, my uncle signed me up for ballet classes at his dance studio when I was two, and dancing is how my many worlds connect. I began traditional Pueblo dances at four years old and traditional Chinese at nine. Hip hop and Latin fusion are my newest dance interests.
I am fortunate to have almost unlimited studio art resources and dance performance opportunities at Phillips Academy.
This portfolio features my favorite works and performances.
